What's new in this version:

Main New Features
References: You can now insert a reference (cross reference) to a page number, footnote or endnote number, image name, auto-title heading, auto-title number, page range.
Bookmarks: Mellel supports inserting and searching of bookmarks. You can also browse bookmarks in the Outline and skip between bookmarks via the contextual menu.
Conditional page number: via the Page number element in Reference format you can refer to a page with a custom text when it's above, below, on the next page, previous page or opposite page.
Flexible cross references: You can re-enter editing X-ref, browse through images, bookmarks and headings, jump to targets, etc. You can reference several properties of a target at once (e.g., page number, title, numbering, etc.
Reference formats: You can create and save reference formats, mixing text and reference elements, styling them freely.
Cross reference palette: allows you to enter bookmarks and references and browse through all the references and problematic references in the document.
Virtual targets: Mellel now allows you to create references to text that does not exist (yet) in the document. You can later on assign text to this reference.
New format editor for auto-titles: allows you to make ad-hoc styling of auto-titles, enter text freely, and apply paragraph attributes.
Spotlight: the plug is now built-in into Mellel, so there's no need to install it separately.
